I have decided to stop calling myself a stay-at-home mother.
I am now going to use the far-superior "home-maker" when people ask what I do. Because I'm more than a babysitter.
(UPDATE: Link fixed. Sorry, all! Oh, and I found this blog through the amazing mother of three, Jen.)

I also use the term homemaker.
But check that link...it goes to the article about the Chinese bishop (may eternal light shine upon him)
Great point. I've also come to use that term instead of "stay-at-home mom". I also use "housewife" as well since, like "homemaker", it implies a scope of responsibilities that goes beyond just taking care of the kids.
