(A proper devotion, that is. Naturally, like anything, it can be twisted.) A lot of images also have her pointing or gesturing towards Jesus, whether He is a child or fully-grown, as well.

Someone pointed out to me that the last thing the Blessed Virgin says in the Bible is "Do what He tells you." This is, really, her wish for us: to do what her Son tells us to do. In every apparition that the Church has approved, Mary continually tells us to pray, to honor her Son, etc. I love that she points us to Him! :)

And thanks about the template. I wasn't totally sure what I put back would work, and to me it looks no different, so I didn't know that taking it out would do anything. :)Christine the Soccer Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01270550419011368834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6199993534225416743.post-22640562432570138532007-08-30T10:29:00.000-04:002007-08-30T10:29:00.000-04:00Awwww, that is so sweet. I love when kids do stuff like that.

Blog's lookin' good!

Do you know why, in a lot of artistic representations of Mary, she's always got her hand up with her finger pointing skyward? It's kind of a standard Mary thing, I've noticed. I didn't know if there was any reason.Staceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04890790775164491968noreply@blogger.com
